Delete your account
Baptist HSS — Android app (in.baptisthss.app) • Last updated 28 August 2026
This page explains how to delete your Baptist HSS app account and the information linked to it. It is published by Baptist Higher Secondary School, Serkawn, the developer of the app.
First, what “your account” means here
The app does not create a password or a login of its own. You sign in with a Google account you already have, and the school simply checks whether that address appears in records it already keeps. So an “account” here is made of just two things:
- A copy kept on your phone. After you sign in, the app saves your email address, your name, the label it shows you (“Teacher”, “Student”, “Guardian”), and — for a parent — the names and classes of your linked children. This sits in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot read.
- An email address in the school’s records. The office may have entered your address against a student’s row on the school roster (as the student’s own address, or as a parent’s), or on the staff list. That entry is what makes the app recognise you.
Option 1 — Delete the copy on your phone (instant, do it yourself)
Open the app, tap Sign out on the home screen. That erases everything listed in point 1 above from the device immediately. Uninstalling the app does the same.
You can keep using the app afterwards — “Continue without login” reaches the school website and the public result lookup exactly as before.
Option 2 — Remove the link in the school’s records (ask us)
To stop the app recognising you at all, ask the school to remove your email address from its roster or staff list. Send an email to:
Please include:
- the subject line “Delete my app account”;
- the email address you want removed;
- the student’s name and class (so the right row is found), and whether the address is the student’s own or a parent’s/guardian’s;
- for staff, your name and the address to remove.
You may also make the request in person at the school office. We aim to act on requests within 30 days and will reply when it is done. There is no charge.
The request must come from the account holder — the signed-in address itself, or a parent/guardian of the student named. We will not remove someone else’s address on an unverified request, because doing so would cut a family off from their own child’s results.
What is deleted, and what is kept
| Information | What happens |
|---|---|
| The signed-in copy on your phone (email, name, role label, linked children) | Deleted immediately when you sign out or uninstall. |
| Your email address on the school roster or staff list | Deleted on request (Option 2). Once removed, signing in no longer recognises you, and the app treats you as a guest. Any phone still holding an older signed-in copy should also sign out — Option 1. |
| The short-lived cache the result system keeps while answering a request | Expires by itself within a few minutes. Nothing is written to a log of who signed in or when. |
| The student’s academic record — name, roll number, class, date of birth, marks, certificates | Kept. See below. |
Why the academic record is kept
A student’s record is a school record. The school holds it to run examinations and to issue marksheets, transfer certificates and other documents — often years after a student has left, and whether or not anyone ever installs this app. Deleting your app account does not and cannot erase it, and no app account is needed for it to exist.
Requests about a student’s academic record itself are handled by the school office under the school’s own record-keeping rules, separately from this page. Write to the address above and we will explain what is possible in your case.
